Oil Conversion Chart, WT to CST. Hi all No shock oil company uses the same WT standard. It makes calculations inaccurate Ex: Losi 30wt is equivalent to AE 27.5wt Reply 07-06-2011, 07:44 PM Ideally, all of the oils that we use for our RC cars would be rated in centipoise. I'm sure there must be cheap substitutes for the different weights of oil sold for our RC oil-filled shocks. I see references to 30 weight, 35 weight, etcbut I think a 5W30 or 10W30 motor oil would be much too thick. Cheap alternatives for shock oil?
